We supported a 500-user healthcare claims auditing organization operating under federal oversight for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As part of their regulatory requirements, the organization underwent a comprehensive MITRE-led security audit covering infrastructure, systems, policies, logging, and control management.

Our role focused on network segmentation, firewall configuration, access control policies, change management documentation, and audit logging. The environment followed a defense-in-depth architecture with layered security controls and continuous monitoring. Network infrastructure findings were minimal. Where vulnerabilities were identified, we implemented mitigating controls and worked directly with auditors to appropriately document risk acceptance for legacy systems.
